Die Musikerin und Klangkünstlerin Holly Herndon bringt ein neues Album an den Start. ‚PROTO‘ scheint mal wieder  enorm schräge Wege zu gehen und dreht auf obskure Art Stimmen durch den Fleischwolf.

Die beiden Tracks die sich bis jetzt anspielen lassen klingen irgendwie nach einer nervösen Mensch-Maschine Interaktion. Leicht ungemütlich und durchaus mit epischem Anspruch. Werd ich im Auge behalten. Lässt sich jetzt schon auf Bleep vorbestellen. Cover und Tracklist seht ihr unten.

Following on from her incredible album on Platform on 4AD, this exploration of the human voice really takes centre stage in PROTO, where she has constructed a collaborative space for an ensemble of vocalists, a team of developers along with her longtime collaborator Mathew Dryhurst and an inhuman intelligence Spawn—a nascent A.I. entity housed in a gaming PC.
