Hänge schon seit über ner Stunde hier im Pink Pop Archive fest und grabe mich durch die ganzen kultigen 90er und 2000er Auftritte von Bands wie den Smashing Pumpkins, Alanis Morissette, Offspring oder Pearl Jam.

Das Pink Pop Festival ist das älteste kontinuierlich veranstalte Festival der Welt und es findet (bis auf eine ein-jährige Corona Pause), sage und schreibe seit 1970 statt.

Gerade die 90er und 2000er Auftritte hatten irgendwie noch etwas unschuldiges. Warum? Weil ab ca. 2010 die Konzertstimmung wie wir sie bis dahin kannten ja bekanntlich irgendwie vorbei war. Nicht weil es keine geilen Konzerte mehr gab, sondern weil seitdem eben ausgestreckte Handy-Arme das Publikum dominieren.

Naja, that’s the way it is….

Macht auf jeden Fall ultra Spaß hier ein wenig einzutauchen. Selbst die ganz alten Sachen wie der Police-Gig aus 1978, den ich auch hier verlinkt habe, sind ordentlich gefilmt und remastered.

Held each year in Landgraaf, it’s The Netherlands’ largest music festival. Since its first edition in 1970, Pinkpop has been organized annually—only pausing during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The 54th edition will take place on June 20, 21, and 22, 2025, at Megaland in Landgraaf, Limburg. The festival has welcomed more than three million visitors and hosted over 1000 unique artists. International icons such as Bruce Springsteen, Ed Sheeran, The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, P!NK, Metallica, Coldplay, The Cure, Pearl Jam, Rage Against The Machine, U2, The Police, Dire Straits, Fleetwood Mac and Robbie Williams have all graced the Pinkpop stage.
