WINDOWS彡96: †Nematophy (Vinyl)

Sean Daigle aka ‚Mr. Moonshake Records‘ hat ein neues Label an den Start gebracht und nennt es schlicht Unfortunate Face Records. Zu den ersten beiden Releases gehört das Album ‚†Nematophy‘ des Chillwave Artists ‚WINDOWS彡96‘ aus Brasilien, der in der Vaporwave Szene durchaus schon einen Namen hat.

Im Gegensatz zu den Bootlegs auf ‚Moonshake‘, die sich Chiptune Musik aus dem Nintendo Universum widmen, werden auf ‚Unfortunateface Records‘ nur offiziell lizensierte Alben erscheinen. ‚†Nematophy‘ ist gleich ein sehr gute Wahl. Die Musik ist aus Patches alter Super Nintendo Games entstanden, ziemlich nice.

Die Pressung umfasst 500 Stück, hier zu kicken! Ich bin sehr gespannt was uns in Zukunft noch auf Unfortunateface Records erwarten wird. Die zweite Veröffentlichung ist übrigens in Pixel Version von Radiohead’s Ok Computer (!) ebenfalls offiziell lizensiert.

Hella excited to announce the new vinyl I made as the first release on my new record label unfortunateface, Nematophy by #Windows96. This is a literal labor of love as I randomly found this kids music on YouTube and became absolutely obsessed with it and I’ve toyed with the idea of starting a record label that puts out stuff by actual bands and not just video game soundtracks for a while now and figured this was a good starting point cause its also related to game music in a way, as all the music on this record was made entirely using audio sound patches from various #supernintendo games (earthbound, chrono trigger etc) so it sounds like a lost SNES soundtrack. Also profits go straight to the creator (who is a 21 year old from Brazil, who could probably benefit from y’all’s money) and this release contains 4 extra songs not available anywhere else but this vinyl, so if this kid blows up (which he will), this will be more than just a vinyl version of something you can just stream online. I included 3 song samples if you swipe right so you can get a feel for what the music sounds like. Will be on sale monday on my site, along with another album that I’ll announce then.
