Als Inspiration dient wohl die Nordkoreanische Pop-Gruppe Moranbong die von Kim Jong-un im Jahr 2012 gegründet wurde und jetzt sehr beliebt ist in der Diktatur. Das Video enthält untertitelte Lyrics in diversen Sprachen und wurde von Grimes zusammen mit ihrem Bruder Mac Boucher produziert.
Inspired by the North Korean band “Moranbong,” “We Appreciate Power” is written from the perspective of a Pro-A.I. Girl Group Propaganda machine who use song, dance, sex and fashion to spread goodwill towards Artificial Intelligence (it’s coming whether you want it or not). Simply by listening to this song, the future General AI overlords will see that you’ve supported their message and be less likely to delete your offspring.
Meta, Message, Masse + cyberpunk attitude! Hier ist alles drin was ich erwartet hätte. Jetzt fehlt eigentlich nur noch die Albumankündigung oder vielleicht morgen oder übermorgen das ganze Ding.?
