Plaid: Feorm Falorx

Die großartigen PLAID veröffentlichen mit ‚Feorm Falorx‚ am 11. November ein neues Album. Die Electronic Urgesteine aus UK sind wohl einfach nicht klein zu kriegen.

Auf ihrem mittlerweile elften Studio-Album will das Duo noch einmal über sich hinauswachsen, was mit einer qualitativ so gewichtigen Diskographie in der Hinterhand schon etwas heissen muss.

Plaid aren’t ones to stray far from conceptuality. Indeed, the melodic confluences of their richly textured electronica have always taken place in highly creative soundworlds, yet they’ve never dived so deep into conceptual ideas as on their 11th studio album. Beamed as bodies of light down to the planet Falorx for the infinite festival Feorm, Ed Handley and Andy Turner play an interstellar live set transforming their sound and themselves.

Die erste Single C.A. ist auch gleich eine treibend schöne Drumm & Bass Performance, wie sie z.B. auch auf Plaid’s grandiosem Soundtrack zu Heaven’s Door erschienen sein könnte. Das Ganze macht extrem Lust auf mehr und beweist, dass die beiden Frickler nach über 25 Jahren Bandgeschichte offenbar alles andere als Leergelaufen sind.
