Mit Ryusenkei’s 2003er Album Tokyo Sniper wird ein sehr junger City Pop Klassiker auf Vinyl wiederveröffentlicht. Ein Kult Album, dass gleichermaßen seinerzeit eine Verbeugung vor dem Sound der 80er war.

Ein einzigartiger Sound irgendwo zwischen Laid Back Coffee House Pop der 2000er, den Tunes typischer PS1 Titel wie Ridge Racer aber vor allem den funkigen Hooks wie man sie auch bei großen City Pop Artists wie Mariya Takeuchi, Taeko Onuki oder Takako Mamiya zu hören bekommt.

Tokyo Sniper wird auf „clear“ Vinyl und in einer neu gemasterten Version auf Vinyl re-released. Freu mich sehr drauf!
